The Appalachian Regional Coalition on Homelessness is the HUD recognized Continuum of Care for Northeast Tennessee. KHRA is a member of the Continuum and receives funding from HUD through annual Continuum of Care grant program. ARCH works to end homelessness as currently experienced in our region. Part of their role is to coordinate and empower the efforts of diverse charities, civic organizations and public institutions working to improve the homeless situation.

Eastern Eight is a nonprofit organization creating affordable housing solutions for the eight counties of Northeast Tennessee (Carter, Greene, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington). Their programs include homebuyer education, financial counseling, mortgage pre-approval, continuing homeowner education and foreclosure prevention and counseling. They also develop and rehabilitate homes and offer a select number of rental properties.
