The full‐time Life Coach will assist individuals in Greater Kingsport to develop the necessary skills, education, and job‐related training to obtain and maintain suitable employment that pays a living wage and become self‐sufficient through the Life Bridge Program. The pilot program is funded by the United Way of Greater Kingsport and managed by Greater Kingsport Alliance for Development, Inc. (GKAD)—the non‐profit arm of Kingsport Housing and Redevelopment Authority. The Life Coach should be a graduate from an accredited four‐year college or university with a major in social work
or related field of study. Significant job‐related experience in the areas of social work management, counseling, and community outreach may be considered in lieu of educational requirement. Supportive Housing Specialist (Detailed Job Description)
This position involves technical and administrative work assisting with the coordination of the Supportive Housing program. Director of Capital Funds & Maintenance (Detailed Job Description)
The successful incumbent will have in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and related trades, ability to ensure departmental compliance with all laws and regulations, strong organizational, interpersonal and decision making skills, excellent observational skills, considerable supervisory experience and sufficient strength and agility to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job in a variety of weather conditions; ability to read blueprints; knowledge of engineering specifications; HUD reporting requirements for Capital Funds expenditures.
